MASTER DONATION ACCEPTANCE AGREEMENT (MDAA) 2026

What changes were made to the Master Donation Acceptance Agreement (MDAA)?

As mentioned in our recent communication, Good360 has made several important updates to our Nonprofit Member Agreement as part of our broader effort to strengthen the program and serve more communities effectively. This page contains a summary of the key changes to the Master Donation Acceptance Agreement, which are further explained in the webinar below.

MASTER DONATION ACCEPTANCE AGREEMENT (MDAA)

RECEIVING AND STORING GOODS

  • Report all locations where you receive or store donated goods and notify us if any goods are damaged or destroyed.
  • Provide a receiving address in advance of shipments and comply with U.S. DOT hazardous materials regulations where applicable.
  • Goods cannot go to any person, entity, or country under U.S. sanctions.
  • Goods are accepted "as-is," and you are responsible for inspecting them, assessing safety and suitability, and not distributing anything recalled or unsafe.
  • Administrative or warehousing fees, where applicable, are now referenced directly in the agreement (reflecting existing arrangements for most members).

RECORDKEEPING AND REPORTING

As we noted, enhanced accountability is central to our shared goals — these updates support that commitment:

  • Record retention extended from 4 to 7 years.
  • Quarterly donated goods reports and Donation Acknowledgment Statements (due within 30 days of each quarter's close) are now required. We're building online tools to support you with this — more details to come.
  • Update your contact and address information in Good360's systems within 10 days of any change.
  • Compliance audit requests must be responded to within 5 business days and may include on-site visits.

OTHER UPDATES

  • Branding: Use of Good360's name, logo, or donor branding requires written consent. We may use your organization's stories or marketing materials to promote our shared mission.
  • Data Privacy: Confidential Good360 information, including donor data and PII, must be protected and may not be entered into AI systems or large language models without our consent.
  • Eligibility: You'll attest to your organization's eligibility under IRC 170(e)(3) and confirm that neither your organization nor its leadership is a sanctioned entity.
  • Termination: If an agreement ends due to misuse, Good360 may require return or transfer of goods and/or repayment of any funds improperly obtained.
  • Indemnification language has been updated to reflect current law.
