How Good360 Manages Shipping for Nonprofits

How quickly are donations shipped after an order is placed?

Good360 strives to deliver donations to nonprofits as efficiently as possible, but our shipping process differs from the speed of commercial giants like Amazon. Understanding this process helps nonprofits better plan and manage expectations. Here’s what you can anticipate regarding lead times, tracking, and delivery for different types of shipments from Good360.

What Happens After an Order is Placed?

Once an order is submitted, it enters a review and approval phase:

  • Order Approval: Good360’s Member Services team reviews and approves orders within 3-6 business days. This vetting process ensures that donations are distributed responsibly and to the right organizations.
  • Order Fulfillment: After approval, the operations team begins the fulfillment process. The time required for this step varies depending on the size and type of order:
    • Carton Donations: 8-12 business days.
    • Discount Deal Products: 10-12 business days.
    • Bulk Donations (Pallets/Gaylords/Truckloads): 15-21 business days.
  • Please note that during peak shipping times and holidays, it may take additional time to process and ship donations. Furthermore, Good360's warehouses are closed during the last two weeks of the year for an annual audit, which could result in delays until after the New Year.

Shipping and Delivery Timeframes

Once your order is processed and ready to ship, here’s what to expect:

  • Shipping Time: Shipping can take up to an additional week beyond the fulfillment period, depending on the size and destination of the order. While Good360 is committed to getting donations to nonprofits as quickly as possible, the overall process generally takes longer than standard commercial shipping.
  • Multiple Shipments: If your donation request includes multiple cartons or different types of products (carton and Bulk pallets), they may not arrive simultaneously. This is because items might ship from different warehouse locations depending on availability and logistics.

Delivery Scheduling and Notifications

  • Scheduling Deliveries: Unfortunately, delivery dates and times cannot be scheduled in advance. However, for larger orders such as Bulk donations (pallets/gaylords/truckloads) and truckload donation requests, the carrier is typically requested to notify the nonprofit organization of the expected delivery date and time frame. While an exact appointment time cannot be guaranteed due to the dependence on prior deliveries, this notification can help organizations prepare for the arrival of their goods.
  • Delivery Restrictions: If your organization has specific warehouse or storage facility delivery restrictions, it’s important to inform Good360. You can reach out via the Live Chat option or by submitting a Help Ticket to discuss any special requirements or constraints for delivery.

Order Tracking

  • Tracking Your Order: Yes, you can track your order once it ships. Good360 provides tracking information for all orders, accessible through your Good360 member account. It’s important to note that tracking details will only appear after the donation has been shipped. If tracking information has not appeared on your dashboard after 12 business days post-fulfillment, contact the Member Services team for an update on your order.

Expedited Shipping

  • Expedited Shipping: Good360 does not offer expedited shipping options at this time. Nonprofits planning events should account for this by submitting orders at least 30 days in advance to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Handling Multiple Items and Shipments

  • Arrival of Multiple Items: When sourcing multiple items, they may not arrive at the same time. Orders might be split into different shipments, particularly if they include various types of products or come from different warehouses. This is part of Good360’s effort to optimize logistics and ensure that the right goods reach those in need in the most efficient manner.

Recommendations

Good360 advises all nonprofits to plan their orders well in advance, especially for events or times of peak demand. By understanding this process, nonprofits can better manage expectations and plan for the arrival of their donations.
